Question: |
That's probably very dirty and hard work! |
Answer: |
It is definitely not like working at a bank! But it really gives you a chance to build something and afterwards you can say: This motor block, this turbine housing, it was quite a bit of work, but I made it together with the others! Some of the components are very, very large, ... and weigh tons, truly huge machines and lifting equipment you work with. |

And then, I end up standing there next to the big casting pot? |
Answer:
|
You can, but you can also advance your career, you are very talented! For example: One of our employees started out as a foundry mechanic in 1992; then he worked for two years as a specialist technician, completed his certificate as a master craftsman, and now he trains new apprentices.
Another employee worked for three years as a skilled worker after completing his apprenticeship, then attended a polytechnic institute and now works with modern simulation programs and computer systems in our development department. |
