The iron casting experts use simulations at HegerGuss not only for their components and the entire production process, screen presentation also support customer relationship management at the company. The simulation environment is from the Fraunhofer Institute for Technology and Business Mathematics (ITWM) in Kaiserslautern, which provides advice and service to small- to medium-sized enterprises.
Simulation methods are now a proven technology. At HegerGuss they are thinking into the future. For this reason, under the leadership of the Fraunhofer-ITWM using MIDPAG (Innovative Methods for the Integrated Structural and Process Design of Castings) an additional visualization environment which for the first time systematically combines process simulation and component production. The main focus here is not simply faster job order processing, but also methods which make it easier to more easily use completely new product designs.
The vision is to transform product suppliers into system service providers.
