Unbeatable performance
A mutual – quantifiable – method and thus a shared customer-oriented view of processes and defects as the basis of company-wide customer service focus
A far-reaching method which also takes indirect business areas into consideration the value of which was already recognized at an early stage by Motorola and General Electric.
In technical terms, Sigma (the Greek letter which is used in statistics to denotes the standard deviation measured by taking the average of a range of process results) is a unit used to show the ability of process to satisfy customer requirements. If a process is successfully designed that a customer requirement only fails to be achieved 3.4 times in a million possibilities for failure to occur, then one speaks of Six Sigma Quality.
In order to implement Six Sigma projects in a company, standardized training courses are offered, which provide participants skills based on the requirements they must meet. The designations are based on the names of Japanes martial arts.
